Thoughts on HP6 Movie
Now, me being the die hard harry/ginny shipper that I am, it is unnecessary to say that this is my favorite book of the series. Always one to become more emotionally involved in Harry Potter’s love life than anything else, I was pretty pumped for the movie. I reread the sixth book last week, so it would be fresh, and fresh it was. I feel like the parts that the movie had right were spot on, but there were also lots of parts that weren’t even in the novel…cough black chick with the fro…cough burning field. At first I was kind of miffed that my glorious Harry Ginny uniting scene in the common room was toned down, and that the end was slightly less “battle like” than I expected. However, the more I think about it, the more I liked it… for various pacing reasons… and I guess I can see the necessary placement of Ginny in some scenes she wasn’t in originally, or else everyone’d be like wtf Harry doesn’t even know her. Anyways - lots of good one liner humor…

“So did you and Ginny do it then?”

Oh… and the cosplayers in the theatre helped my mood too… Why are central IL cosplayers always overweight?
